Amy Stout
Amy Stout

Amy Stout serves as the Director of Strategy at Futurus, a future technology company specializing in the development of virtual and augmented reality experiences. In her role, she works closely with clients to build a strategy that transforms the way they train employees and connect with customers. Amy graduated with honors from Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Georgia. Prior to joining Futurus, she worked at major advertising agencies and managed relationships with Fortune 100 clients. She is a founding member of the Women in XR Atlanta organization where she uplifts women working in the tech field and volunteers her time mentoring young women who are interested in the XR industry.

Dana Dojnik
Dana Dojnik

Dana Xavier Dojnik is an idea-generator and energy creator. Prior to joining Foundry 45, Dojnik spent the first 15 years of her career in advertising and consulting in New York for brands such as Lockheed Martin, Ford Motor Company, Liz Claiborne and Starwood. In 2006, she joined 22squared as VP of interactive operations in Atlanta and then moved over to BBDO Atlanta to build out their digital team working on campaigns for REI, American Cancer Society, Georgia Pacific and AT&T. For six years, Dojnik spearheaded all of the photography, video and innovation at IHG before coming aboard as the first female partner at Foundry 45.

Dana is an accomplished speaker and moderator and over the past few years she’s shared insights with audiences at SXSW, Savannah Film Festival, PRSA, Social Fresh and General Assembly to name a few. She has 20+ years of experience in the digital domain, from her early New York advertising days to her growing success in the thriving Atlanta immersive tech scene today. Locally, Dana sits on the Invest Atlanta Creative Industries Advisory Board and is on the Board for the Outreach Advisory Committee for Grant Park. Nationally, she is a member of the AR/VR Association and is 6x century cyclist through Team-in-Training for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Yolanda Barton

Yolanda A Barton is a senior strategist and program manager specializing in digital, cultural, and communications transformation. She has created pioneering programs in Virtual Reality Storytelling using the power of immersive technology to preserve the history of Music, as well as innovative diversity and inclusion programs centered on transforming organizational culture. In addition to almost 20 years of experience in corporate programs management, Yolanda holds two Master of Arts Degrees in Communication from the University of Washington, in Digital Media (MCDM) and Communities and Networks. Yolanda has also been a featured guest speaker at numerous Technology and Fortune 500 company events, where she has designed and led community engagement and cultural transformation activities. She is dedicated to leveraging XR to bridge the gap between communities and tech companies to create a more profound human experience through the power of storytelling.

Joumelide Pascal

Joumelide Pascal is passionate about using technology to create dynamic and innovative solutions within the learning environment. Joumelide stands on the shoulders of her family who immigrated from the island of Haiti and taught her to fearlessly pursue her dreams. After receiving her Masters degree in Educational Technology, Joumelide embraced her role in the area of Instructional Technology and Design. As an avid permaculturist, the outdoors is Joumelide’s happy place, where she loves developing a sustainable living environment. Joumelide wealth of experience and educational credentials empower her to develop engaging virtual learning experiences for all types of learners.
Daniel Stensland

Daniel Stensland has been working with VR and mobile technology for near on a dozen years now. Considering that fact makes him feel very old. Daniel is currently working with Gozio Health, a startup exploring the many opportune ways location-based technology can improve healthcare, and also the Y’allywood Film Festival, showing off the shining stars of independent southern cinema.

Jamie Lance is the Marketing Coordinator for Futurus and Amebous Labs. The once Office Admin has challenged herself to learn, invest, and grow in her career and reach new heights in her professional and personal life. She is a mother to a 19-year-old son and an assortment of house plants. Her free time includes sewing, reading, and fantasizing about being able to roller skate like she did when she was 10. She’s excited to be amongst the influential team of Women in XR and serving on the Media Committee.

Annie Eaton
Annie Eaton

Co-Founder

Annie Eaton is the CEO of Atlanta-based future technologies company Futurus, where she creates immersive, engaging and interactive experiences in virtual reality, augmented reality and micro-location enabled experiences. Annie earned her degree from The Georgia Institute of Technology in 2010. In 2014, she created XR Atlanta, which now boasts 1,200 members. Annie is involved with Women in XR Atlanta, and Young Entrepreneurs Council. In 2018, Annie received the Women in IT Rising Star award, as well as the Women in Technology Woman of the Year (Small/Emerging Business). In 2017, she was named the Technology Association of Georgia Young Professionals’ 2017 Technologist of the Year. Annie has vast public speaking experience, having been invited as a speaker for conferences, podcasts, educational institutions and corporate events.

Jane Nguyen

Jane Nguyen joined the XR Atlanta leadership team in 2017 as an enthusiast interested in learning more about the technology and meeting like-minded, fun individuals. Since then, she has joined the Futurus team as Account Manager and budding Developer. She is a founding member of the Women in XR subgroup, and is active in event planning and offering support among the entire organization. You can find her sweating up a storm and busting moves in her favorite VR game, Beat Saber. 

Dave Beck
Dave Beck

Dave Beck is founder and Managing Partner at Foundry 45, an Atlanta-based company that helps brands train their teams and tell their stories through Virtual and Augmented Reality. His company has built over 200 experiences for notable clients such as AT&T, Coca-Cola, IBM, and Delta. Before starting Foundry 45, Dave served as the Chief Operating Officer at EquipCodes, a mobile SaaS and Augmented Reality company. Dave also serves on the board of the MAK Historic District and is very active in the Georgia Tech community as a board member, mentor, and frequent guest speaker. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Wake Forest University and his MBA from Georgia Tech.

Liberty White

Liberty White is the chief video marketing strategist at CHOZEN MEDIA, a boutique video marketing agency. A native of Toronto, ON, Canada, Liberty has over 15 years of multimedia experience and co-founded ATL WEBFEST, the first web series festival in the Southeast. Liberty has a passion for teaching organizations how to develop interactive experiences with live streaming and digital marketing to drive sales. With an extensive background in content creation, her past projects include work with the UNCF, the Georgia Department of Economic Development, and ESPN’s Celebration Bowl at the Mercedes Benz stadium. An FAA Part 107 Certified Drone Pilot, Liberty is committed to mentorship and making resources accessible for women in business, technology, and media.

Shelby Vecchio
Shelby Vecchio

Shelby Vecchio is an animator, designer, illustrator, and fine artist. She earned a B.F.A from the University of North Carolina at Asheville focusing in New Media, where she studied various forms of digital mediums. Afterwards, she began her professional career as a motion graphics animator and designer, working in the public and private sector. Shelby currently works at Futurus as a XR Designer where she is responsible for creating visual media for UI platforms and develops content within the extended reality medium. Over her two-year tenure with Futurus, she’s delivered various virtual and augmented reality projects, become fluid in design mediums, and established a create-on-the-spot method of working. She continues to sharpen her skills and consistently seeks new outlets to express her next multifaceted idea.

Joshua Angeley

Joshua Angeley runs a dual-purpose superhero life focused on empowering people through VR and AR. In the day time, he works as a Software Engineer at Slalom Consulting, working with big clients all around Atlanta building enterprise applications to solve their big problems. At night, he’s tinkering with Unity to build the next best AR/VR experience out there. Currently, he’s building a robot-blasting matrix-style Virtual Reality arcade shooter named AmaranTime Arena, now in early access on Steam! Scott Burkey
Scott Burkey

Scott Burkey leads the Extended Reality Products in the Innovations and Emerging Tech group for Westrock, a global manufacturing and consumer packaging company headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. Having worked as a software developer for over 20 years at companies like CNN, TBS/TNT and Coca-Cola, Scott now champions new technologies in the manufacturing industry which he believes will be one of the biggest adopters of AR/VR in the near-term. Scott serves in an advisory capacity to a commercial drone company and several non-profits that change lives even without VR headsets and drones. Scott is a United States Marine Veteran that enjoys running and eating with his wife and 4 children in Atlanta, Georgia.

Peter Stolmeier
Peter Stolmeier

Co-Founder

Peter Stolmeier is the CTO of Futurus, where he provides consulting and technical advice, as well as being lead project designer for virtual reality, augmented reality and 360 capture projects. Peter graduated from Full Sail University in 2009 with a BS in Digital Arts and Design. After graduation, Peter transitioned to working full-time in video production, graphic design, and interactive game design. He has been a VR enthusiast for almost 30 years and co-founded XR Atlanta before the majority of people in Atlanta even knew VR existed.

April Arrglington
April Arrglington

April Arrglington is a multidisciplinary expert with a unique background in film, publishing, digital media production, games and experience design. She is the producer of Alternate Reality Games “The Age of Turing” and “The Miracle Mile Paradox.” Primarily invested in the relationship between intellectual properties, fandom phenomena, and immersive storytelling, she tells stories at the intersection of technology, art, and innovation. A proud Latina entrepreneur, she is co-founder of ARchimeral, a startup that focuses on building experiential diversity driven stories in VR, AR, and XR.

Jose is a curiosity driven computer scientist and neuropsychologist. He is fascinated by all applications of Artificial Intelligence and other new technologies to enhance storytelling, and make it more feasible for small teams to create new compelling types of narratives.

A passionate believer in creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship, Elizabeth uses her talents to support students and clients to start businesses, tell immersive stories, and build a stronger cultural economy. She is excited to combine her knowledge of media technologies and the decentralized movement with local, digital and international communities. As the Director of Media Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Creative Media Industries Institute (CMII) and The Blockchain Lab at Robinson College of Business, she works to make her visions become reality and virtual reality.

Scott Driscoll
Scott Driscoll

Scott is a founder and Senior Producer at Foundry 45, where he utilizes his dual technical and creative background. He has a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering and M.S. in Music Technology, both from Georgia Tech. He studied mechanical engineering and computer science at Carnegie Mellon University for his undergrad degree. He previously ran the Atlanta Bitcoin meetup group. As a hobby, Scott runs a YouTube channel explaining technical topics called Curious Inventor that has over 15m views.

Shelby Vaughn is an artist who believes in the power of creativity. Raised in Alabama, Shelby followed her passion for art and technology to Georgia State University. She is currently pursuing a degree in Creative Media with a concentration in digital art. Shelby is employed at Futurus LLC as a digital illustrator, where she designs 2d assets for immersive experiences. Shelby’s artwork graced the cover of the nationally published novel, America’s Outlaws: and the Treasure They Left Behind. After graduation, Shelby plans to continue making her mark in Atlanta as a young creative.
Angel VanEllison
Angel VanEllison

Angel VanEllison is a Software Engineer and UX Designer at Fiserv. She is passionate about removing the wall between art & technology. At Georgia Southern University, she majored in I.T. with a minor in Animation. Angel serves as the Program Director of WIT YoPros and Co-founder of Digitalis Reality, a digital art studio. She has been operating her own freelance business, ANV Creations, since 2018. She enjoys game development and working with Extended Reality. Angel enjoys public speaking on topics that relate to women in technology.
